last day - zoo day. and apparently everyone and his dog or rather SUV stroller and thier screaming brat decided to go as well. on the same ferry i was on. and its winter school break here. luckily i talked my way into a 50% industry rate which softened the blow (reg. $37.00) and the zoo is large enough that it didnt feel too crowded most of the time. saw the local animals and split.
came back, and spent the rest of the day in this park underneath the Bridge with views toward the oprahouse, reading and relaxing. Tonight i treated myself to a good meal at a place along the boardwalk. In honour of surviving the zoo experience i had starters of kangaroo and crocodile skewers followed by a heaping plate of seafood linguini.
now to pack. not looking forward to the 15 hour trip.
